Marketing Communications Associate/Coordinator

EastBanc Technologies is seeking an Internal Communications Senior Coordinator/Manager to develop and execute the overall internal communications strategy. In this newly created role, you will develop, lead, and implement internal communications strategies to support the company’s brand, culture, purpose, and direction. Your responsibilities will also include re-designing our intranet platform by creating and posting content and coordinating and curating content across teams and supporting the implementation of that aligns to EastBanc Technologies’ business objectives.

In this newly created role, the ideal candidate will deliver the intranet content strategy developed in collaboration with the Marketing and Human Resources teams, maintain quality control of the site, and develop and implement policies and standards to ensure effective and engaging content meets business needs. The ideal candidate will provide creative and technical support for a SharePoint-based platform and requires familiarity with content management systems to post and upkeep content. A core measure of success will be the degree to which the new intranet becomes staff’s go-to daily source for internal communication and news across the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement company-wide internal communication strategies and programs that engage, inspire, and align employees with EBT’s brand, vision, priorities, and key initiatives
  • Create an overarching employee experience portal communications strategy, in conjunction with other stakeholders, including marketing, human resources, operations and IT
  • Gather, create and distribute bi-monthly company newsletter
  • Provision a world-class intranet meets the business’s needs and ensures consistent user experience (in conjunction with IT)
  • Manage information architecture and maintain content for Intranet platform, including drafting, curating, posting, and updating content
  • Develop a messaging framework, intranet content roadmap, and content schedule
  • Tell compelling stories through best-in-class content creation for intranet home page, support various content owners across the organization, and maintain and upkeep the site
  • Supports internal communications initiatives with key stakeholder teams, including Marketing, Operations, IT, and Human Resources
  • Design and implement employee engagement activities to promote awareness and adoption of intranet, enhancing employee advocacy
  • Support production of staff newsletter and active promotion of content through various channels
  • Create and implements EBT alumni network to strengthen the relationship of former colleagues, promote EBT culture and facilitate opportunities for alumni to exchange ideas and share information
  • Develop, maintains, provides advice, and, In conjunction with HR, monitors compliance with intranet policies and standards to ensure effective and engaging content meets business’s needs.
  • Monitor intranet usage based on best-practice metrics using the latest tools and provides insightful analytics to key stakeholders that demonstrate site effectiveness and engagement
  • Drive, plan and execute all internal company wide events and monthly theme days – post pandemic (picnic, may the 4th be with you, holiday party, bowling)
  • Enhance employee engagement/enjoyment through various activities and social channels
  • Research and purchase employee gifts
  • Create strong relationships with colleagues throughout the organization to help build positivity and awareness to culture
  • Maintains an understanding of industry best practice and new technological opportunities that add business value
  • Provide training to new content owners; create resources for colleagues new to intranet platform
  • Work with IT and key stakeholders to define priorities for requests for new functionality and tools
  • Develops and implements an overall strategy for EastBanc Technologies former employees (alumni) relations, including manage the development of alumni relations program; keep records and directories of all alumni members up to date; engage alumni involvement in recruitment, business development, and events; monitors the performance of alumni relations program; and provides strategic support
  • Serve as key internal brand ambassador for EBT

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, English or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in internal communications related role
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite or similar design applications; graphic design experience (does not need to be highly skilled)
  • Proficient in MS Office 365, specifically SharePoint Designer + SharePoint workflows for intranet applications
  • CMS and content publishing experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work with senior leadership teams
  • Ability to work with senior business leaders and across different stakeholder groups to drive consensus
  • Proven experience working cross culturally and adapts to global environment easily
  • Superior writing, editing and proofreading skills
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented and self-motivated
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver organizational messages using various communication modes for transparency and clarity of messages with teams in consistent and timely manner
  • Ability to identify and analyze business and audience needs to deliver messages via the most appropriate mix of channels
