Building on Houston Metro’s successful implementation of a proprietary EastBanc Technologies SAAS and IoT-based bus mapping and rider planning application, the addition of Bluetooth beacons ensures a more seamless and user-friendly experience. With beacons on each bus stop, riders are notified via any android or iOS device as they approach the stop reminding them to disembark or transfer to another service. The functionality is also integrated with talk-back and voice features to aid visually impaired passengers.
