RCN Provides Feature-Rich Mobile App to Users

RCN upgraded its mobile app to boost user payment and satisfaction.

The Challenge

RCN Telecom was having trouble getting on-time payments from clients and realized that many clients wanted to pay for their utilities directly from an application on their phone. RCN Telecom wanted to create an easy way for users to pay their monthly bills on the RCN Mobile application.

The Approach

EastBanc Technologies was engaged to create an entirely new modern mobile experience with integrated security for RCN Mobile. Our team redesigned the application’s user experience to increase usability and provide users with a one-stop-shop for bill payment. We created a visual step-by-step instruction animation within the RCN Mobile application to encourage younger users to set up their mobile phone accounts. This animation clearly displays where users can find their account number on their paper utility statement and prompts them to add their personal and banking information. The setup makes it easy and visually appealing to users and allows them to set their payment preferences and set up automatic payments.

The Results

A long-lasting partnership between RCN Telecom and EastBanc Technologies yielded many projects as RCN continues its pledge of outstanding customer experiences with MyRCN, the now feature-rich, self-service account management mobile app. RCN Telecom subscribers can handle all their account-related setup and management tasks on the go.
